About the Brussels Governance Monitor
The Brussels Governance Monitor (BGM) is an independent tool for monitoring Brussels governance, published at governance.brussels. Its goal: to make complex public information readable, traceable and verifiable.
Why this site exists
Brussels has one of the densest institutional landscapes in Europe. Region, community commissions, municipalities, intermunicipal bodies, ministerial cabinets — decisions are made at multiple levels, often without sufficient visibility for citizens, journalists or civil society organisations. The BGM exists to fill this gap.
What the BGM does
The Brussels Governance Monitor structures and analyses news on Brussels regional governance: tracking political commitments, documented monitoring of decisions, appointments and institutional developments. Every published piece of information is sourced. Every analysis is traceable.
The approach: rigour without agenda
The BGM is not affiliated with any party, interest group or media outlet. It does not produce opinion disguised as analysis. The approach rests on three principles: structuring information to make it accessible, tracing every source to enable verification, and presenting facts without ideological framing.
Who is behind the BGM
The BGM is created and maintained by Zoltán Jánosi, a communication strategist based in Brussels, with over 20 years of experience in structuring complex information for public, private and non-profit organisations. The BGM is a public interest project hosted by Advice That SRL (Brussels).
Training and consulting
Alongside the BGM, Zoltán Jánosi offers training and consulting on artificial intelligence — fundamentals, ethics, practical applications — and on factual communication. These services are aimed at organisations that want to understand AI without jargon, assess its concrete implications and make informed decisions.
