Regional Security Council of 26 August: forty federal police officers and twenty mobile cameras within twenty days decided at the Cores, a unified command entrusted to the chief of the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles zone over the six police zones, and a federal reserve platoon announced separately by the Interior Minister. These three announcements do not add up and no source consolidates them. The card adds the federal police count, fifty-seven shootings over the first seven months of 2026 against one hundred and one for all of 2025, and the state of play on the regional drug commissioner: eight candidates, a five-year mandate, no police force of its own and no powers taken from the prosecutor's office, the zones or the municipalities.
